We have learned that addressing these problems globally is overwhelming and paralysing. For this reason, we are committed to creating awareness and moving towards action at the local level. Every single contribution counts. What can you do?
We created a website and social media accounts to communicate the project’s achievements, gather support and announce future events related to the initiative.

The goal of social media is a lot more than releasing content. It involves truly understanding the strategy behind all the diferent channels we deliberately chose and taking into account their particularities and public and community aims. Our local partners in Bhutan and Nepal have led these activities, embodying a truly globalised approach.
We carried out the frst B+NESDG Summit in Greece and awarded the best work done by the students.

What we have achieved, learned and experienced in this project were presented in the frst B+NESDG Summit (public session) in Greece.
We met with local ofcials and ambassadors of the participating countries to explain the project and explore further avenues of development.

The fact of being a project designed according to the partners’ needs and the active implication of all the partners in all project activities are positive for sustainability. The aspiration of the consortium is to be a mobilising group that, apart from the specifc interventions in the Bhutanese and Nepalese universities, will promote dialogue at the national level about the contribution of universities to the SDGs, their role, supporting the implementation of every one of the SDGs, as well as the implementation of the SDG framework itself by Bhutanese and Nepalese HEIs. This will mean a step forward in the promotion of regional cooperation in the feld of higher education.

The project actions persist in time. The report on SDG indicators managed by the SD Units will gradually improve year by year after the project ends, and the Bhutanese and Nepalese universities are expected to progress positively on their holistic process of providing higher quality education and contributing to achieving relevant SDGs at the country level.

Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) were signed between the participants’ universities and other international universities. The following are some of the key points mentioned in these MOUs: Exchange of faculty, researchers and administrative staf; Conducting collaborative research projects; Conducting lectures and organising symposia, workshops and conferences collaboratively; Collaborative development and exchange of academic materials and information; Developing and delivering programs of study and online learning for a global audience; Promoting other academic cooperation as mutually agreed; Exploring possibilities of developing joint courses or degree programs; Supporting in pedagogical training and development.
We designed and accredited the SDG-related subjects on all our campuses.

A customised procedure was developed to design the quality report of the accredited subjects from the perspective of the B+NSDG project. Each section was given a justifed qualitative and quantitative assessment. The procedure consists of three criteria, all of which are oriented toward defning the quality of the formative proposal from the perspective of education for sustainable development, keeping in mind the circumstances and characteristics of the degree, the subject and the students.
We carried out the audit of the SD units
We carried out the audit of the SD units
The audits were carried out using the panel of indicators reports and by analysing the strategy of the SD Units and the sustainability work plan. The sustainability of the SD ofce has been holistically assessed, including human resources, fnancial resources, strategy and support by the university community
We developed our frst progress report on the Panel of Indicators
The baseline value of the indicators obtained during the initial stages of the project represented the initial value before any actions increasing the participants’ commitment to the SDGs had been taken. The evolution of each of the indicators has been documented to determine whether the objectives of the project have been reached in a reasonable time or whether additional action should be taken in the universities to improve
